Commercial Advertising:

Commercial Advertising is defined as any text and/or images that is principally or substantially intended to represent products and/or services, including pet purchases, for sale by corporate entities and/or individuals.

The Hotdog Blog! accepts commercial advertising for display on the site. All commercial advertising shall be placed on the website by the administrator of The Hotdog Blog! or on our behalf by third party advertising providers such as Google Adsenseb/Adwords or similar companies.

Parties, including members and/or non-members of the site, must contact and contract with The Hotdog Blog! directly for display of such advertising or they may contact third party companies that The Hotdog Blog! has designated to act on its behalf in this regard, such as Google Adsense/Adwords.

Member Policy for user submitted material in Content Sections:

Content Sections of the site are defined as those sections which enable members and/or non-members to submit content for display on the website, including content to display within the blogs, forums, photo galleries, shoutbox, chat, and audio video sections. For the purposes of the advertising policy, the links and dog friendly directories sections are not defined as Content Sections, and thus, member submitted advertising that conforms to the Terms of Service will be allowed in these areas.

By registering as a member of The Hotdog Blog! you hereby agree to abide by the terms of service. Incidents which violate these terms may result in corrective action depending on the circumstances. Please report any violations to Cleo at cleo@hotdogblog.com

Any commercial advertisements submitted for direct display by members and/or non-members for the sale of goods, dogs, stud or mating services, or other potentially objectionable items is expressly prohibited. Violations in this regard may result in deletion of membership and banning from this site.

1) Considering the real-time nature of The Hotdog Blog!, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information before it is posted. Please remember that while we do our best to filter out any inappropriate postings, we do not actively monitor the contents of and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of The Hotdog Blog! staff or any other entity associated with The Hotdog Blog!. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email or private message. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

2) Copyright infringement. Posting of copyrighted material is not allowed without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

3) Spam is expressly forbidden in all sections of the site. Frivolous solicitation and self-promotion is not allowed. Links to other sites that are relevant to the discussion are fine, but promoting your own or someone else’s commercial venture or competing site isn’t. This rule applies to all functions of the site, including e-mails and private messages. The Hotdog Blog! does not provide free advertising space. It is at the discretion of the site owners to make the final decision as to what constitutes spam, but just use common sense and we’ll be fine. If in doubt contact the administrator.

4) Messages located within The Hotdog Blog! may contain outside links to other web sites and files. We have no control over the content and cannot ensure it will not be offensive or objectionable. We will, however, remove links to material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them. This especially includes links to sites recommending or enabling prohibited or illegal activities, such as "warez", "serialz" and "hacking" download sites. Advocating unlawful use of otherwise legitimate sites is also prohibited.

5) Member signatures shall not contain promotional messages or links to commercial websites, products or services.

6) We at The Hotdog Blog! reserve the right to change the terms of service and advertising policies at any time without prior warning. Updates however will be posted in the miscellaneous forum.
