There is still “GOOD” in the world.

I donâEUR(TM)t know if all of you remember the awful loss that a family in Florida experienced when their baby, Tink, was stolen from their yardâEUR¦.they posted about it in the forums.

Tink has not been found nor returnedâEUR¦this really hit this family very hard. And they are a lovely family!

Tink came into this familyâEUR(TM)s world to help ease the pain of finding out that their daughter has Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. I hope IâEUR(TM)ve got that rightâEUR¦.Well, this little girl is now 9 years old and is the longest known living survivor of Langerhans. Tink was there always to step in to cheer her up during treatmentsâEUR¦.so you can imagine how big the loss was and still is.

A while back, someone signed my guestbook with a very nice compliment. Judy is a breeder in Florida. I have never met her. She signed my book saying that she would be honored to give me one of her puppies if I ever wanted one. I was so touched and very flattered and told her so in an email.

When news of Tink came, and after corresponding with TinkâEUR(TM)s familyâEUR¦.I knew that their medical costs were very high. I began wondering if there was a way to help…then, about a week or so ago, I made a call to Judy, I explained what I knew and within 5 minutes of speaking to her she told me to have TinkâEUR(TM)s family pick out a puppy at no cost. She said she felt it was the right thing to do and I cannot tell you all how elated she made me feel. What a wonderful way to helpâEUR¦people helping people that essentially donâEUR(TM)t know each other.

On December 11th, they will be picking up their new babyâEUR¦her name is going to be MagicâEUR(TM)s Pride.

I am left feeling wonderful about the goodness I find in peopleâEUR¦.especially on days where I am left wondering about humanity. But there is still plenty of it out thereâEUR¦we just need to look closer sometimesâEUR¦or just come here to the Blog!

JudyâEUR(TM)s website can be seen at: http://www.dachshunds-n-doxies.com/SOLDPUPPIES.html

Look for the puppy that says: CONGRATULATIONS STAUDINGER FAMILY. This is their new baby, MagicâEUR(TM)s Pride.

IâEUR(TM)d like to publicly thank Judy for having a great big heart and for putting a little Magic back into this family’s world.

Rita

Truly a wonderful story, and what a generous and caring woman this Judy is:)) It’s stories like this one that make us realize that there still are caring and thoughtful people in this world. Just when we think the world couldn’t get any worse a story like this touches your heart:)))) I feel terrible for this family whose dachsie was stolen, what a terrible thing to live through. Hopefully this new little puppy will bring them many years of happiness and laughter, and oh how I wish I could see the look on the little girl’s face when she sees her new puppy:) You also deserve a pat on the back, you made the call to Judy, you made this all happen for this family as well:))

What a wonderful person to have such a heart to give a little ray of sunshine called Magic to people who really need it the most! And “You” are a selfless, giving person and I am proud to say I know you!

Yes…. there really are some great people in the world! Pity that there are not more of them…….

Thanks Rita. I am glad that you were able to help this family. Those of us who knew about this tragic loss have all been upset. Glad you knew someone who could actually help….I just emailed Judy and thanked her personally and offered her a place on my links page.

Thank you for being such a caring person

That was a wonderful thing to do for this grieving family, the pup won’t replace Tink but will help them cope with the heartache.

I hope Magic’s family stay in touch with the blog and keep us updated on progress.

Thanks to Judy and yourself Rita there will be smiles again in this family.

Rita you will never cease to amaze me! I felt awful for the family that had Tink snatched from them without knowing the extenuating circumstances. Imagine the cold craven heart of the evil being that snatched that little baby. Of coure they will never know or care about how big a hole they rent in Tink’s family’s hearts.

Judy and you are the best of humanity. Like Carm, I am honored and proud to be able to call you my friend.

Now I am off to find a tissue and hug my two fur angels.

Thanks for sharing this most wonderful news with us.

    Love, Laura

A happy story that brings tears to my eyes. It’s wonderful to know that there are generous, loving people around. It still breaks my heart about Tink, but they will be loved so much by Magic’s Pride (she’s adorable).

  10. Comment by Zoe:

Thank god there are still people in this world like you Judy. This was such a beautiful gesture on your part and you are making a little girl so happy when the whole family went thru such a tragic ordeal. People who are not animal lovers do not realize firstly they are a part of the family and as far as I am concerned another child and secondly how much they can do for a sick person. And thank you Rita for making this all happen. The the family lots of luck with your new fur baby Magic. I hope she give you lots of joy and happiness for a long time and hope your daughter is doing well.

I know we all (here on the blog) felt terrible for what this family had gone through…I know none of us could imagine having one of our fur-kids snatched from our very own yards…I know I would be a mental case if something like this happened to me.

I can tell you Tink was truly loved and VERY well taken care of. They even bought her a kiddie pool like I did for Scrabble because she loved the water, too; only they did one better…they dug a hole in the yard to set the pool into to avoid problems with Tink jumping in and out of it (even though it is a shallow kiddie pool) and designed a drain for it to be empited and refilled…

I swear, all I did was make a call…if Judy hadn’t been so generous and kind, I wouldn’t be here talking about this. It just worked…Judy and the Staudinger family are close in distance…only 40 minutes or so from each other…

Chuck, thank you for emailing Judy, and for the offer you made to her. You’re a champ!…and anyone here that wants to do the same, feel free. She doesn’t know I posted this here and I didn’t want her to be embarrassed.

Anyway…it is all going to work out and that was all I wanted.

The Keystone stuff has such a negative side, and it is so frustrating not to see the “right” thing happen…it’s a constant worry and pain I feel for these dogs knowing that they just don’t get the love and care they should be getting…and I feel that way about the ones that I don’t know about…Keystone isn’t the only crappy place.

It feels good to be a tiny part of something special…and that’s all the reward I need. And that’s why I’m back to stay here on THB…because we have a truly teriffic group…everyone here has something different to contribute…and I don’t see this site as being a fly by night place…for the two years that I have been a part of it, I just see it growing stronger.

Martha Stewart would say, “It’s a good thing!”

Spanky has tears welling. What a lovely outcome to a very tragic story. I hope Tink finds her way back home somehow or the people who took her realize how their actions broke the hearts of the Staudingers. May God Bless Judy and her family for their giving hearts. I am going to e-mail and thank them for being such kind, loving, caring people.

  16. Comment by Judy Jordan:

    Hello everyone,
I just wanted to thank all of you that have e-mailed me and for Rita who called me about the Staudinger Family. I did not give the puppy for recognition but for the MILLION DOLLAR smile that
Staudingers will have when they pick up their new BABY. Nothing is worth more to me than that SMILE and the look in the EYES of a child. As I had told Rita “IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO” So again I THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart.

    Judy

  17. Comment by Fancy:

Once again I am so glad I have tissues next to the puter…

Thank you Laura for sharing and God Bless Judy!!

I just wanted every one to know that Justin and his family will be getting their BABY girl TODAY. I want to submit a picture of her but don’t know how to do this but I will have one on my PHOTO page of Justin and HIS baby. THIS IS A SURPRISE!!!.
They were suppose to go to DISNEY this week but the family caught the FLU and the little boy’s DR. stated that he could not go unfortunately because of his HEART CONDITION. I Hope and Pray that this will soften the dissappointment in this child.

    Judy

  19. Comment by Judy Jordan:

I finally found how to put up the photos of Staudinger’s puppy MAGIC but it wouldn’t take the title so its the blk/silver dapple the one dated today 12/01/2006 8:01sitting next to the fence.
